Every Muslim claims that Islam is the religion of peace... however, here is another opinion by The Hadith of Muhammed: "Fighting and Sacred Rage in the Cause of Allah (Jihad): War, killing, and rage were the foundation of Islam, and it is the same to this hour in the heart of Ghadaffi, Saddam Hussein, and Osama Bin Laden. Islam is a religion of death and killing for their God."
Many Muslims claim Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. It may well become part of all our lives. Some may well ask, "Does it matter, for some in Islam are gentle people?" The truth is that while the sensitive Muslim is disturbed by some of the things done in the name of Islam, the expansionists uphold extremes:
"One Muslim extremist of the Islamic Liberation party reminded his interlocutors just before the scheduled opening of the party's international rally in London in August, 1994, that 'there are 123 verses in the Quran about killing and fighting.' And he added, quite unnecessarily, 'Ours is not a passive religion.' Quoted from Fregosi, P. (1998, p.18).
Here are four of the 123 verses referred to above. [Note: the numbering of these varies slightly between translations.]
1- "O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you, and let them find in you a harshness; and know that Allah is with the godfearing" (Sura al-Tawba 9:123).
2- "Fight against those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger, have forbidden -- such men as practice not the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book -- until they pay tribute out of hand and have been humbled" (Sura al-Tawba 9:29).
3- "The punishment of those who wage war against God and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;" (Sura Al Ma idah 5:33).
The Quran encourages Muslims to fight, even when they would rather seek peace with those who do not wish to adopt Islam.
4- "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." (Sura AL-BAQARA 2:16) The Quran
Most Muslims would say that these verses are misunderstood, but misunderstood or not, the history of Islam shows that many Muslim leaders have used those verses to spread terror. Islam, according to the Quran, can be spread by force.

The "Devote" Muslim has to be a "Fanatic, extremist":
Suicide Bombers... good Muslims:
Many people argue that the "suicide bombers" are fanatics, extremists... but the fact is that they are "good devote Muslims", following the teachings of the Koran and of Mohammed Himself... however, the good Muslims I know in New York don't look to me like "suicide bombers"... and may be it is one of the reasons why we don't get terrorism from American Muslims in USA.
Mohammed, the founder of Islam, was quoted as saying,
1- "Invitation first" (that is, call them first to embrace Islam).
2- "If they refuse, then war." "The sword", said Mohammed, "is the key of heaven and hell; a drop of blood shed in the cause of Allah, a night spent in arms, is of more avail than two months of fasting or prayer: whosoever falls in battle, his sins are forgiven, and at the day of judgment his limbs shall be supplied by the wings of angels and cherubim."

This is a good reason for a Muslim to be a Suicide Bomber, or a Terrorist willing to die... because Muslims wish to have their sins forgiven. But every Muslim lacks this certainty, and some are willing to do anything to gain it. Thus, fighting for Allah (a form Jihad) is the way of many... a sure way to go to Paradise.
Much of the Islamic world is constantly in a state of confusion and violence, warring against itself... Many assassinations
Here is an explanation of these assassinations among brother Muslims by The Hadith of Muhammed:
"Allah's Apostle said, "Allah welcomes two men with a smile; one of whom kills the other and both of them enter Paradise. One fights in Allah's Cause and gets killed. Later on Allah forgives the 'killer who also get martyred (In Allah's Cause)."... Here is a very important matter. We often wonder how Muslims kill each other and both parties scream "Jihad" as they kill each other. Mohammed says that Allah is happy to see them BOTH killi

while Islam is supposed to bring equality, in practice this has never occurred. The super rich are able to avoid many of the harsh punishments that poor people cannot escape from.
The Quran hardly mentions love, and does not encourage love toward non-Muslims. Love for example is only shown toward the Muslim widow and orphan. Other widows and orphans (eg. Christians, Jews etc) have to convert if they wish to receive the same treatment from the Muslim community.
Islam is a state religion by nature; consequently Muslims are automatically involved in the affairs of the state (politics). However, history has shown that ordinary Muslims will never have a real choice when it comes to the laws they are going to live under, as the majority of them are decided by their religious leaders. God, they say, has given his laws in the.Quran and Hadiths (although the many conflicting opinions result in conflicts within Islam over these).

Well, keep in mind that the Bible talks about genocide and holy wars, too, and the Christians say they don't follow those parts anymore. I suppose Muslims should be allowed that courtesy, too..

The Muslim holy conflict "Jihad" became initially declared through the non secular guy on the Jinn that are evil spirits (infidel) Overcoming the Jinn became what the non secular guy had to do with the intention to have a Holy soul with Allah in heaven. interior an same way Christians keen to conquer the devil and attain Sainthood ought to triumph over the carry of evil spirits, through religious conflict/deliverance. the problem we are dealing with now, is that Jihad is now understood to be a conflict hostile to Christians or non-believers of Allah. that's develop into linked with terrorism. in reality that people do not have any actual enemies, basically religious ones. that's taught us through both Islam and Christianity. So, you may now see basically how ridiculous the international has develop into because historic truths are misunderstood and twisted through evil adult men.

2:191] You may kill those who wage war against you, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. Oppression is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred Masjid, unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may kill them. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers
[2:193] You may also fight them to eliminate oppression, and to worship GOD freely. If they refrain, you shall not aggress; aggression is permitted only against the aggressors
2.190] And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits
What about this??
Let me first clearify that these verses(from sura 9) which are always pointed out to prove that islam is a violent religions are actualy revealed during war time.there were a few wars which the prophet was involved in, in-order to protect himself from the pagan arabs. So these verses were merely a means of encouraging the poor and the weak muslims of the time to protect their families, children and animals against the all-powerful arabs of the time.
Unfortunately these are the most abused verses from the Quran today. They are being used all over to bring infamy to the religion.
islam is a religion of peace, and Allah killing a single human is equal to killing the whole humanity !!!extremist who belive that they can terrorise the whole world and would spread the word of God are confused and are not muslims actauly otherwise they would have not harmed peoples.this is wrong to equate islam and terrorism there are black sheeps in every religion and they can't be representative of whole community....If hitler had killed millions of peoples.should all christanity be punished for that?? be in shoe of muslims and think about it !!!
and that hadith? from where did you get it?? please do tell me too what our prophet told us in 21 century after being dead from 1400 years...Ofcourse these are "created" in this century, and has no relation with islam !!

why would osama be in a hadith?
You asked muslims to read the Quran with an open mind. You should follow your own advice!!! Can you tell me the historical context of the verse? can you read them while taking that in? I never said islam is a passive and peaceful religion. but it does not provoke. it does not start war when peace can be maintained.

The Crusaders killed in the name of God as well so what is your point. Every religious group has its fanatics that kill in the name of God. Joseph Smith was hung for creating the Mormon religion. American indians were killed because they were considered uncivilized and lacked any morals (religion). We all need to stop finding faults in each others beliefs and start letting people live their lives the way they want to or we are going to end up just killing each other. Please stop spreading your hatred!

Dear Friend,
have you read the entire Quran in the Arabic version..? before i go any further in answering your question, allow me to consicely explain about Al-Quran.
For Muslims, Al-Quran is not an ordinary book. It is more than just a book. Al-Quran is a derivative of the Arabic word ‘kara’a’ which means ‘have read/recited’. Therefore, from the literal meaning, Al-Quran means ‘recitation’. However, the figurative meaning of Al-Quran from the Islamic view is more than just a recitation.
‘Al-Quran’ means ‘the miraculous word of Allah that was dictated to Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) through angel Jibrail and written down in Arabic language, by reading every single word of Al-Quran will be rewarded, it starts with surah Al-Fatehah and ends with surah An-nas.’
I really hope that I’ve concisely explained about Al-Quran. Al-Quran is not just a book. It is a sacred book which contains the words of Allah that guide Muslims all over this wide world to be successful in this present life and the Hereafter. As Al-Quran is a part of a pious Muslim’s life, it’s my responsibility to correct any misunderstanding about it.
so, what i would like to say here, if you only read the translation of our holy Quran (which is originally written in Arabic), your explaination should be doubtful.. and allow me to tell why..
Even among the Muslims, not everyone can really translate the Quran.. Quran is in Arabic language.. Some of the words cannot be translated into other languages precisely.. Did you research on the Quran or you only researched on the translation of Quran..? And I would like to emphasise here, even among the Muslims, not every one is allowed to translate it, even if the Muslims are very good in Arabic language... After you have mastered the Arabic language (which is totally different that English), you have to master other knowledge such as Usulul Fiqh, Qiraat, Usulul Din, Balaghah, Asbabul Nuzul, Nasakh wa Manskhuh,, Al-Hadith wa Ulumul Hadith, and Ulumul Fiqh…even myself is not capable in mastering these knowledge though I've been learning Arabic Language since I was seven…
Do you want to know what does it really mean with "kill and fight" in the surah At-taubah, Al-Baqarah ..? Allah s.w.t warned the Muslims to be PREPARED to protect themselves, Islam and their countries if they were attacked by KAFIRUUN (non-Muslims), MUNAFIQ (those who declare themselves as Muslims but actually they are not Muslims), AHLU BID'AH (those who created new regulations and said it was from Muhammad and Islam, but actually Muhammad and Islam never said about it), INTRUDERS, BOUNDARY INVADERS and RADICAL DEVOTEES. ONLY if they were attacked, then they are allowed to fight against their foes with all their might, strength and power…
I would like to ask you my dear friend, what do you really understand about Jihad..? It is a derivative of the word “Jahada” (suffering/misery/hardship). Hence, Jihad is translated as effort that needs might and strength to achieve good ambition that is forgiveness and bless from Allah…
Please, don’t simply say Jihad means killing other people (This definition is totally WRONG)…
Regards,

jihad is a way of defence and it means struggle with own self to do good.
muslims were tortured and killed by the pagans, anyone convert to Islam is being killed or tortured, so God command Muhammad to fight those who are unjustice from among the pagans. But God forbid fighting those people indicate in the verse below:
1. Except those who join a group, between you and whom there is a treaty (of peace).
2. those who approach you with their breasts restraining from fighting you as well as fighting their own people.
3. Allâh does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes.
[90] Except those who join a group, between you and whom there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with their breasts restraining from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. Had Allâh willed, indeed He would have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they withdraw from you, and fight not against you, and offer you peace, then Allâh has opened no way for you against them.
Quran 4:90
[8] Allâh does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allâh loves those who deal with equity.
