You need a basic word processing programme, Microsoft word, Microsoft Works etc. Alternatively you can use wordpad which comes with windows, in start menu under accessories

If you are actually going to mail using the postal service, use Microsoft word, microsoft works, notepad or wordpad to type out your message and print it.

I use microsoft word, plenty of different fonts, spacing, margins and so forth.
Notepad is also good.

The word processing program...if you don't have Word then you must have notepad...provided you have a Windows OS.
