I just purchased a set of books as a gift, and I was wondering if you have any tips for making a box that will fit them, so that they can be presented as a boxed set.

Thanks!

Using strong card or cardboard, either cut to form a single large cross, of cut and tape 5 single cards together. When folded the cross should form an open ended box just large enough for the books to fit into the open end. With the books in (to give rigidity, tape all of the open joints. Remove the books and neatly tape the inside joints. Looks rough doesn't it? Now cover in nice patterned paper, wallpaper works well. Fold into the box by about 2 inches - all the way if you can manage it, but remember the books have to be able to fit easily inside. Job done.

Find a box a little larger than the books or make one from flat cardboard.

Get fabric to match your friends taste or the story of the books, use spray fabric adhesive to attach the fabric to the box, being careful to wrap the corners tightly.
