Hey guys, for the past 2 days I have been feeling more tired than usual, and yesterday I started feeling slightly congested. Today I'm feeling a bit more congested and I know that a full blown cold is around the corner, what are some things I can do to fight it off?? I tend to get colds that stick around for a couple weeks, and I'm starting school on Tuesday and I can not be sick then!! Anyone have any suggestions for immune boosters or anything that can fight this off?? Thank you!

Make sure to drink lots of water to flush the congestion out of your throat. You can also try Zinc or Vitamin C...but make sure not to take both because they will only cancel each other out. Basically, Zinc will make the duration of your cold shorter, and Vitamin C will help to boost your body's immune system to help ward off any coming sickness. So I guess it really depends on what stage of a cold you're at.

I'm on the last stages of fighting off a cold. Good luck to us both!

buy some oranges and lemons and drink a lot of orange juice with lemon, recently squeezed. Those from a pack never work for me. Try also some home made chicken soup and also squeeze a lemon on it. For me, natural vitamin C does the trick to prevent the cold to kick in

There is a new product on the market called 'Cold M.D.'. It is supposed to boost the immune system and knock out colds quick. It is mostly herbal and there are no undesirable side effects.

I got the best cold remedy ever but I'm sure you aren't going to like it. Eat a raw clover of garlic!
Fixes up a cold in a snap but unfortunately leaves you stinking like garlic for the rest of the day

if the sore throat is real undesirable, take some tylenol till now you bypass out (perchance 2 greater effective power tabs approximately 30 minutes till now leaving) and produce some good lozenges with you. whilst determining on a lozenge get one that has an excellent sort of menthol in it and one that has a mushy anesthetic. it's going to help with the discomfort and the menthol will help with the cough. otherwise, dont worry with those cough syrups, no longer properly worth your cash. there is fairly little info to coach that they actually artwork as against purely making you think of they are working

Zicam. The nasal stuff. It might be a day or two too late for that. It's a preventitive measure that you take at the first signs of a cold. I don't know if it's too late for you though. It doesn't stop colds, just shortens them dramatically.

Take a zinc pill as soon as you start feeling this way in the future, and keep taking one every day for a week.
