Good thing I didn't take them then...

I guess I should just study like every other person in this world.

Any study tips then?

Yes, Ginkgo extract is safe for 14 year olds. If you are much smaller than 150 lbs., you might adjust the dosage accordingly. For instance, if the recommended dose is 1 pill 3x daily and you are only 100 lbs., I would take only 2 pills per day. (100/150 = 2/3).

There was a study done several years ago where college students took 500 mg. gingko just 30 minutes before exams. Their scores were up significantly. It wasn't a scientifically controlled test. Unfortunately, most of the contolled testing has been on people over 60 years of age, for cognitive function.

Here's a link to the Ginkoba site: http://www.ginkoba.com/_quality/clinical_gink.html Scroll down for a couple of clinical studies done with younger people. One result with young women said, "After 1 hour 600 mg GBE significantly improved short-term memory."

The only contraindication I know about is if a person were on blood thinning medicines s/he should consult their health care practitioner before taking Gingko biloba because it increases circulation to the extremities.

You should start on a regime daily of nutritional supplements that contain Omega 3 and Zinc. They sharpen memory. You can get them over the internet. I personally take a daily teaspoon each with a liquid vitamin/mineral/antioxidant supplement. Liquid is better because your stomache doesn't have to digest it for long and it reaches your cells. I use VIBE and their other Omega 3 and Zinc liquid supplements. They have a VIBE Jr formula for kids and teenagers. They are completely natural and do not add artificial flavorings or preservatives. They are the best I have tried ever. Check out their website at: http://www.enivamembers.com/188138

Good luck...

As for study tips, the only thing I can suggest is to study on an EMPTY STOMACHE. If you eat before studying, all your energy will go to the stomache during digestion. Drink LOTS OF WATER and STRETCH and walk around at least every 20 minutes or so to get oxygen circulating in your brain. Your brain needs as much oxygen as possible to stay awake.

Take Care and remember to always supplement your diet since the food we are eating is not that healthy and lacks many vitamins and minerals, which are essential to our wellbeing.

It's NOT going to help you. You would have to take them for MONTHS before you could expect to see any results. One day isn't going to do anything. Sorry. Also, if these pills really worked, don't you think everyone would be taking them and it would be BIG news all over the world?

It wouldn't be unsafe, but it certainly wouldn't do anything in such a short time span. Ginkgo is used for many things-basically it helps with circulation.
