Well u could call the humane society but odds are they won't take it . But you but you could place an add in the paper and see if anyone wants it . However by giving it away you run the risk of it being snake food. So if you put an ad in the paper........interview. That's what I did with my dog. If you get a bad feeling about the person that i wouldn't let it go there.

A lot of animal shelters will take hamsters. Call around and ask. A pet store wouldn't take it, or if they did, it would be for snake food. They wouldn't be able to sell an old hamster - everyone wants babies. You could also put a free ad in your local paper to try to find a home for it. Good luck.

If you don't want to keep the hamster, call your local area pet stores. When I had to find a new home for my hamsters, I donated them to the area pet store. At least that way, you know someone who is paying money to adopt them will be more likely to give them a good home. (As opposed to people who look for free pets so they can torture them or use them for inhumane purposes).

Good luck!

I would see if a pet store would accept it. If you take it to the animal shelter they will probably put it to sleep. I agree with Jennifer put an ad in the paper.
