If I get an MFA in acting, can I still go back to school later and get a combined MA-PHD in dramaturgy?

There is no reason why you can't go back to school.

I went on for my PhD in Finance after getting an MBA. Had I asked, they would have given me an MS in Finance after I passed my orals. The MBA-MS-PhD would have been similar to an MFA-MA-PhD.

I didn't think the additional MS was worth the paperwork -- but others I know did & there is no reason why you can't get an MA in addition to the MFA and PhD.
