Is it possible for liberals to admit that Clinton screwed up a time or two and conservatives to admit maybe George W has gotten off track on certain things...its seems that we willing to turn a blind eye rather than admit when our affiliated party is wrong. Am I right?

I think it is impossible for extreme partisans to do this. They will never recognize or admit the failings of there own side and will always exaggerate for effect the failings of the opposition. Reasonable people who are more moderate in their opinions although leaning slightly left or right tend to give situations a more critical examine and respond accordingly. However, this critical examination is never sufficient to satisfy the partisan mindset and they will attack anyone who doesn't agree with them in lockstep fashion. The partisans always appear to be in great numbers, but the reality is they are not. This illussion come from the fact that they tend be very vocal and are willing to say things reasonable people would never dream of.

Most conservatives like facts and have no qualms admitting the truth, the truth should never make you feel uncomfortable. I voted for Bush twice but I am not happy with some of his policies
1. open borders
2. run away spending
3. no true energy policy
4. expanding government
One may ask why vote for him? what choice did I have if I had voted democrat I would have gotten the same thing plus higher taxes ,weaker military, liberal judges I know quite a few liberals and I think it is written in their DNA not to criticize their own no matter what.

Chucky Lucky is a classical eample of what I am talking about

Yes of course. We on the Right always criticize Bush when he screws up. Like his failure to fix illegal immigration, he took a beating over that. And when he called Islam a "religion of peace" (LOL!) well that was just a blatent lie.

But notice how Clinton never did anything wrong, according to the Left?

Yes and no. Sure Clinton screwed up a few times, everybody does, but you won't knock me for thinking that he is the best since FDR, as my conservative cohorts would say the same about Reagan.

Anybody who says Bush is a great President is just looking to provoke. (in my opinion, but I could be wrong)

I just had to write a paper for my gov course about this.
I wish more people were individuals in a groups, than a jsut a group made up of people.

everyone is so worried about sideing and being with a group/on a side, we forget there its impossible to find one person who is 100% in agreement with us- more a less a group.

this is the one thing I undoubtably like about people like
Russ Feingold, (only senator against the original patriot act)
Nancy Pelosi, (catholic, votes pro-choice)
and Rudy Gulliani. (republican, pro-choice and pro-gay rights)

they support who and what they are, they are kind to fellow colleagues- but feel free to have dissent as individuals

Libtards will never fess up to their wrongdoings and mistakes. The last I heard, Ted Kennedy is still in denial over his murder at Chappaquidick. And, Clinton still denies he had sexual relations with that woman... Ms. Lewinsky.

On the contrary, Bush said in a public speech that he will take full responsibility for any wrongdoings that occured after Hurricane Katrina. Of course, libtards will deny this fact too.

Liberals are the single greatest threat to American democracy.

Yes, it's difficult, but we need to always try to remember what is right for the country. Sometimes that means not making an obnoxious deal out of everything so that our enemy thinks we don't support our leadership.

You are right! It takes a big person to admit they are wrong.

But I will have to say, Bush is batting pretty low in helping America be the great country we used to be.

I think the answers you've received make your point. It is not hard, it is impossible for them to admit that their party got it wrong.

One of the cores of conservatism is not to admit guilt because it shows weakness so they must stand by the father figure and attack any evidence that might show guilt within the protector
