May I ask why you want to kill it? Air pollution is doing a pretty good job of killing it already. I know a lot of people who like to have your problem. Enjoy your Spanish moss while you still can. Don't try to kill it.

There is a copper derivative available to kill spanish moss. If you live in a spanish moss area the tree services in your area will either apply it or they can recommend someone who does. It is a delicate process - I would not try do-it-yourself. You can easily damage or kill the tree if the mixture is too "hot". And ask for references and proof of experience in dealing with spanish moss before hiring anyone to do it for you.
