Although the fall of the Soviets killed off all interest in pure Communism, the same radical left-wing concepts (equality, public resources) drive the rapidly socializing Venuzuela, Sweden, and many other European countries. In fact, free college education and socialized healthcare are already main governmental services in most successfull nations excepting the US.

I'm not aware of any country ready to enter communism. Those are always done by revolution, never peaceful. If one would occur I would think the best chance would be Africa. Also, Communist countries are failing and adopting a more prosperous form of Capitalism. Also most of the world is sliding closer to Socialism, including, sadly, the US.

China , Vietnam and North Korea if it doesn't restart it war with South Korea and the US.
Communism is pretty much credited as a governmental system after what happened to the Soviet Union.
