Until the computer models become extremely accurate (and that is a LONG time off) then there will at least be the need for a meteorologist to interpret the model results (at bare minimum). There are a lot of needs in weather research as well. The armed forces also employ meteorologists.

As long as there is television/radio and the Internet. People will need meteorologists.

A Bachelor Degree in Meteorology.

Basically, that's it. However, you must present yourself as a businessman.

If you better for you if you can forecast the weather good, as it will decide your fate at the station/workplace.
