because after being very well litter trained, he started peeing and pooping all over the place. Can someone tell me if this sounds like a medical problem, nutritional problem, or a psychological problem?

--He routinely eats rabbit food, carrots, celery, and timothy hay.

--Untill he stopped being well behaved, he had run of the house whenever someone was home ( usually 2 hours at least a day).

--The only times he could have been injured is when he started kicking or squirming while being held or placed into his cage. (he took a couple of poor landings).

Any ideas, feedback, comments, (anything!) would be helpfull. I really want to have a happy bunny that can hang out with me.. not be stuffed in a cage.

I have no idea but if it were me I would just call the vet and ask for her advice first and see if she has any ideas what could cause such a change in your bunny. Then if she feels she should come in then take her in . However she may just give you some ideas or tips on what to try.

your mom shouldn't understand the way considerable your bunny is to you. Did you watch the nutrition come lower back up? The rabbit could have purely gotten it caught in its throat and someway spit it back up. Sneezing could nicely be from the bedding you utilize. Use the pine chips (super or small, does not matter) and don't use Cedar chips. that's deadly to toddler rabbits (which yours nonetheless is) and can nonetheless reason illness in older rabbits. Cedar chips are for canine that are no longer pregnant and don't have a clutter. you additionally can use the newspaper like bedding, (paper bedding?) yet you are able to desire to alter to bedding extra frequently. lower back, as for the "throw up", i do no longer understand a fashion that might assist you. I relatively have a rabbit with a respitory an infection that hacks and coughs that looks like throw up, yet its no longer. She's attempting to get the mucus out of her throat and its no longer likely helping.

Hmmm... I don't know. I know my rabbit uses his litter box 100% of the time UNLESS there is a dog blanket nearby. For some reason, he LOVES to pee and poo on their blankets, but only if they're in certain areas. Weird. Anyway.... I'd say a vet visit is in order. You might also check out www.rabbit.org. They have a whole section on rabbit health... maybe you can find something mentioned there. Good luck. Hope bunny is okay!

google House Rabbit Society. everything about house rabbits is there from nutrition to behavior. my rabbit has free roam at all times. he does go potty next to his litter box when it needs to be cleaned. he actually goes on the floor and stares at you when this happens. there are so many other reasons some behavior and some psycological.

Is he nuetered? That's likely the prblem. Once he's fixed his litter box habits should return.

it sounds like a marking his territory problem. if he was neutered, he would stop doing it.
sounds like you are feeding him well. keep it up.
