I was considering the name 'Nobby the Haddock', or perhaps 'Jumping Juniper Berries' as his first name.

Your question has excited me somewhat, but after much research I have discovered there are already 2 people by the name 'Nobby the Haddock' living in the UK. What if these people were to meet in a small cafe? The confusion would be catastrophic. My suggestion is to possibly categorise your son, much as we do with car number plates, this would avoid confusion and also help to identify his age to others.

really, you have got to consider the child when he goes to school and all the backlash they will have to take over a name. Think of something that will suit him. I had a lof of time thinking about what to name my son, he is the only boy in the family and therefore harder to name. I named my son Corey, but everyone to there own, just give him a name that he will be happy and proud of when he is older.

Find a name that potrays what you want the son, or what you believe the son represents. There are many great strong names. Consider a Biblical name.
