I guess I'm asking why all the tickets sell out pretty quickly for concerts, but scalpers get their hands on thousands of them.

They pay people to stand in line.

When I was in HS, we used to stand inline for tickets....scalpers would give us enough money to buy our limit, then give us 2 tickets for standing in line.

Either they pay someone to stand in line or get them off the internet or they have connection at Ticketmaster or another ticket company.

they buy the tickets online first then sell them at a higher price
