I recently quit smoking. Since I do not smell like tobacco smoke all of the time, I figured I should pick up another scent that smells good. I have purchased like 4 types that I like that are name brand(Burberry, D&G, Davidoff, Joop!), and I'll pick up something better later. But, what is the best way to wear it so that it will stick with you? I have heard that mixing the cologne with your oil makes the scent come out and stick to you better. Also, what are your favorite scents?

You don't necessarily have to mix it you don't want people to run away from the scent...simply apply some on the wrist(for shaking hands purposes), behind the ear(for hugging purposes), behind the knee (so that scent will follow you everywhere you go). I prefer Joop from your list, I also like curve for men. CONGRATS on quitting smoking.

The best scent depends on your body, everythign is gonna smell different on dif people. But it's way hot to walk past ANY man and catch a hint of cologne. You will find that since you have quit smoking, your sense of smell will be enhanced, but don't over do-it with the cologne. the best os to put some on, after your dressed, that way it is on both your skin and clothing (around the neck)...it's great. Good Job on the quiting smoking!

That's a good question. It doesn't take a two hundred dollar bottle of cologne to make chicks like you, so just stick with the ones you have. I'm sure you've heard people complain about the guy who poured the whole bottle on himself, don't be that guy. As for making it last longer, I think they all wear off in less than twelve hours and I doubt there's a way around it.

While getting dressed and in your boxers hold the colone out about arm length and spritz it toward you. Walk into the spritz. Do not exceed trhee spritz'. You want to smell good, not like a perfum store. Spraying it on your chest and near your neck will make it last longer. It may not smell the same on you as it ddoes in the bottle. Also, just because you can't smell it does not mean everyone else can't. You will get used to the smell. You can apply one or two more spritz' after about 7 hours to freshen the scent. Enjoy your new smell! I'm sure those around you will apreciate whatever you chose over the smoke. :)

The best way to wear it is in such a way that ONLY your lover can smell it. That's the purpose of perfumes and colognes, to entice your lover and not to repel the whole of the world.

In addition. the scent industry is an extension of the petrochemical industry, so as far as your health and the health of those around is concerned, you almost may as well be dabbing yourself with crude oil or gasoline as to do so with perfumes. This also explains why perfume and cologne molecules are called "sticky" molecules - they actually stick very well, and to everything.

Your nose gets used to a smell, just as your eyes get used to a given level of light. You do not lose the smell (for many people, that is actually written as the stench) of a scented product during the day - your nose adapts to it and ignores it.

OK, so you no longer smell of tobacco. What's wrong with just smelling like yourself? Yes, hygiene is important, but past that, just smelling like yourself.

each person is different when it comes to the longevity of a scent. You are going to have to test different ways on yourself. Remember when going into a restaurant to eat, heavy cologne offends the other patrons.
