Did you install extra smoke alarms yet?
I can see it now, you will leave your electric blanket on all the time just to entice them into your bedroom, wontcha?...

No you will not. I believe by law police cars and fire engines cannot turn on their sirens within a certain distance of their stations . I think it is 2 or 3 hundred meters.
my wife and i stayed in a hotel in Peirce street in Dublin and the hotel is sandwiched between a fire station and a police station and it turned out to be one of the quietest areas in Dublin as none of them could turn their sirens on as they entered or exited the stations,

No, because they switch the bell off at night so it doesnt disturb the neighbours. I know I used to live next door to one.

Excellent question, there is a possibility that you would, but adding up all the pro's and con's i think you could go deaf after awhile. Then the problem could be psychosomatic
