I have had 6 kids and have never ever heard the term threatened miscarrage.I think you better tell your girl to get a grip and get excited like it or not she's going to be a mommy. She doesnt' sound to excited at this point. At the visit the doctor might order an ultrasound to check and make sure all is ok in there and just basically check her.Since there is no more bleeding all should be ok.It is very normal to have some bleeding at first.I had some in my 7month cuz of the baby kicking the placenta. All was fine.He will also tell her no heavy lifting or stress. So by her telling her parents, that stress which she had should be alot better now.Good luck and be a part, you won't be sorry.

I had a miscarriage before before my 2 child was born and most of the test are simple they can keep a watch on her hormone levels to make sure they do not drop. And just make sure she is getting plenty rest and fluids and they will probably do more test on Thursday just make sure you go and between now and then write down your questions & concerns for the doctor to answer. That way you do not forget and you do not feel rushed and nervos in the appt.

Not really sure what htey will do, but hse need to go to the Doctor at the begining to start vitamins. vitamins are the most important. but they will probably do a pap and check her cervix and do an internal ultra sound. htey will start her on vitamins. make sure she requests her file from teh hospital so she can take the copy with her to her OB/GYN. Good Luck to both of you.

Most likely blood tests and an ultrasound. Maybe
a pap smear to check the cervix.

Usually at the first appointment they will:
-weigh you
-check your blood pressure
-give you a pap / internal exam
-check the position of your uterus
-listen for a fetal heartbeat with a doplar monitor
-take blood and urine samples

Most likely first they will listen to see if they can hear the babys heartbeat, if not they will probably do a ultrasound to find out if everything is ok.

They will do a internal examine to make sure the cervix is closed, they will check to see if there is a heartbeat and they will definitley draw blood to check her hcg level.

They will check her vitals, possibly do a vaginal exam, also measure her belly to check size of baby. You may want to go with her.
