None. Your key has a computer chip in it that "talks" to the ignition. This is to prevent theft. Likely the dealer is the only one who can replace the key.

Call another dealer and see if they will give you a discount. It's worth a try, but I wouldn't expect more than 10-15%.

IF you have a copy of the title and id with matching names the any dodge dealer should be able to cut a key for you by looking up the V I N. They usually charge a fee to look it up 20$ ball park plus the price of the key. I'd say under thirty. You might remind the dealer that you bought a truck from them less than three years ago and will be buying o new one with in another three, and if this is the back breaking service that you can expect, you'll not be back.

well you could use it as a paperweight, lol
that is steep, My wife lost my spare key to my corvette and the dealer cost for a new spare was 75 dollars and there was only one place in Phoenix to buy it. AS you may already know, "A woman and her keys are soon parted"
Have you tried a locksmith? or another dealer

The same thing just happened to me with my Range Rover. Ask the dealer if they have a mechanics key. It would be much cheaper. My rover key was $200, or $15 for a mechanics one.

Use a slide hammer to pop the ignition switch out of the steering column, go to NAPA and buy a new ignition switch with key and replace. Takes about 30 minutes and cost about $25.00. Any Chiltons manual for your vehicle will give you step by step instructions on how to do it. Hope this helps.

The key is "chipped" and has to be programed at the dealer if you want it to start the car.

That's about it, I had to get a second key and keyless entry fob for my 05 3500 and that's just about what it cost me. There aren't any other options that I have found and I work in the automotive industry.
