Ok, so my boyfriend's name is Victor Herman and he wants his son to have his name so bad, but I honestly don't want my son to have that name. So I am trying to incorporate his name in the name, maybe... =)

So which sounds better/best to you? NO RUDE RESPONSES, its just a name question....

Anthony Victor
Dominic Victor
Anthony Dominic
OR his name
Victor Herman

=X! Thanks!!

Well, the name isn't good however, I would love it if my boyfriend wanted to name our son after him (he doesn't want to). What about giving your son the name Victor Herman but calling him by a nickname? "Vic" or just "V." Names are certainly different now adays. You could also give your son 2 middle names and have any name you want as a first name. Just a couple ideas

My 4 year old son's great grandfather is still alive, his name is Herman. When my son was born we wanted to pay tribute to his great grandfather, but didn't want to use Herman. Herman is his Amercanized name. When we looked up the translation Herman in Italian is Armino. Our son is named Benjamin Armino and everybody is happy.

How about

Victor Dane

Victor Wayne

even if it is Victor Herman, Jr. it will be "Vic" for short.
