I've been "eBaying" as both a buyer and seller since 1998. I LOVE it! I prefer it over Amazon because I can find just about anything imaginable, and I usually get a better price on eBay. I don't mind waiting through an auction for the significant cost savings. I also love the eBay feedback system.

ebay.. easier, better deals.. more logic and the personal touch is there to where amazon is cold, desolate and the deals are sometimes ripoffs in my opinion.

ebay there's much you can do.. contact is very important.. pictures.. information that is detailed... i like the flexibility ebay has when you're aiming to get a product and the options are more vast.

and you can talk with the sellers if you so need... and there's always more than one seller with the product you wish to aquire so the opportunities are well maximized.

and i love the rating system.. it's not rating the product.. it's rating the person involved... which is a gigantic help.

Depends on what you want. I like Amazon.com because of security and selection of free stuff.
But I have a friend who seems to be able to get the most amazing low price stuff from both amazon and ebay, so it is all a matter of your personal skill, and I suspect sheer amazing luck at bidding right, or finding a seller who is good at amazon.

Amazon is great, you buy it, it comes the next day and they have an extensive "used" inventoy to get at a good price, also you get a rebate at years end
Ebay you bid, wait, get outbod, look again. I basically stopped using ebay and now use Amazon all the time for everything: lasers, books, auto, vacuums,

Absolutely Amazon. Never had a problem with them, tons of problems with ebay. No contest. The prime membership on Amazon gets you free two-day shipping on many products for about $75/year. Thought it was a little pricey at first, but it definitely paid for itself quickly -especially during Christmas.

It depends on what I looking for.

Amazon is good for new things (although they're usually more expensive than others.)

Ebay is awesome for finding used or hard to find items. It also fun just to search through Ebay to see what's out there. Ebay is also good for getting items that are not sold in the US (i.e. Asia or Europe)

I like Amazon better, it's voted one of the most secured transactions in the world.
