They got away from what made them great this season, which was running the ball against undersized defensive lines. I don't know if Tressel tried mixing it up in an effort to confuse Florida (hahahahah!), or if that brain fart he had near the end of the first half on that 4th and 1 from his OWN 29 had anything to do with ruining their chances more, but the GAME PLAN sucked as much as the OSU offense did. Switching it up played right into the Gators' hands, not to mention the fact that Florida's DB'S are among the fastest in the SEC, a fact Tressel must've missed in breaking down game film!

because they can't win a bowl game against any team from the SEC. Ohio State is 0-8 against the SEC in bowl games. That just shows that the SEC is the best conference in college football. The Buckeyes couldn't match Florida's speed on offense or defense. They were outmatched in every aspect after the opening kickoff.

Ohio State lost because 1- troy smith got heisman and was too confident 2-teddy ginn was injured 3-ohio state was too confident from their undefeated season 4- floridas defense was breaking through osu's line like it was nothing.5- they underestimated the Gators. 6-51 days of no football hurt them tremendously.
7- they didnt play their hearts out because they had plenty of chances to make a big play but they just didnt. but ohio state is still the best in my books!

I think they got to *cocky* from the beginning and their over confidence led them to believe they didn't have to even try hard. Florida wanted it so bad they played to the best of their ability and kicked Ohio states back side

First of all, they didn't just lose...they got their butts kicked....BIG TIME....and they lost b/c Florida is the better team...I believe they proved that to everyone...
Not ONE person on here can make excuses for a 41-14 loss...there's just no way...Florida is the better team, period...and maybe now all the OSU fans will shut up about how amazing they are

Outplayed, out coached, and the benefactor of OSU having 50 days off, Ginn being injured and the poor 4th and 1 call ant the end of first half.

Florida was a lot faster at every position than the Buckeyes were prepared to see.
Also, Tressell, ordinarily an excellent game day coach, looked lost.

because they underestimated the gators. not to mention florida had more to prove than ohio state did since everyone in the country kept saying that the gators didnt belong there.
