I fell on my elbow last week and it has been extremely painful, especially when it gets touched or hit. The bruising and swelling was immediate and is still pretty aparant. Now, after I bump it I can't bend my arm all the way for a little while and it throbs pretty bad. I never had it checked out, and I'm wondering if I need to start thinking abou that. Or, is this what happens when you really hit your elbow hard and am I just being a wimp?

I hope you do the same because I a m you Mothers age and want to quit and it will go away with rest and vitamins. I aman alcoholic and I want to quit. We are too young a too young and of beauty. I want to quit the party scene and become intelligent. I study Art

This happened to me about three weeks ago, while it is getting better, it is not exactly painless right now. It think it just takes time and moderate stretch to make the elbow get back in shape. Best not to do anything that will aggravate it.

1 week is the usual tissue injury healing time. But it is safer and better if you see your gp for further test and for an x-ray. Fracture is the worse that can happen. For the moment, you can take you analgesics to ease the pain.

If it was last week, the swelling should be all the way gone. Yes, get it checked: You might have chipped a bone.

Good luck!
