I don't have the chemicals at times when I get clogs. For the tub and sinks. After the water drained (most of the time it is very slow but it does drain - otherwise the plunger until it starts going.)
Once the water is gone, I boil water in pots on the stove and pour it boiling hot in a waterfall type way directly into the drain. It melts the "soap-scum-hairball" out of the trap and into the sewer or septic tank.
Not a problem if you have plastic plumbing either.
Works.

STEP 3: Pour dry ingredients into a glass or plastic sealable container and stir until well mixed.
STEP 4: Measure out 1/4 c. of the dry ingredients and pour into clogged drain.
STEP 5: Pour two cups of boiling water into drain.
STEP 6: Let stand for 30 minutes.
STEP 7: Flush the toilet or run fresh water through the drain.

Pour 1/2 Cup Baking Soda and 1/2 Cup Vinegar down the drain. Cover the drain and let set for few minutes. Then pour a pot of boiling water down the drain and it should flow freely once again. Hope this helps...

It relies upon on how clogged it is. yet... i understand that break of day dishliquid will works to get a sluggish drain shifting greater directly. i've got used it on a sluggish/clogged sink and the lavatory. Infact, I normally (month-to-month) use it in all of my drains now, to maintain them going easily. i'm not sure why it works, it purely does. =)

Bleach! Pour straight bleach into the drain and let it sit. It will eat through the hair, etc (whatever is clogging your drain). Be careful of what you use depending on whether you are on sewer or septic tank.

Coca-cola to the rescue, empty a pretty good amount of it in to the drain and problem solved. Empty a can per drain once a month and you will never have trouble

Buy a drain "snake" from a hardware store. it only costs $15, and is more effective than any other remedy.

A half cup or so of baking soda in the drain, then follow that up with vinegar.

Good luck!

i'm not sure about clogs, but once that problem is solved, in the near future, after washing your dishes, put in vinegar in your drain, it clears the grease from your dishes and the smells from old food as well.this is the kitchen sink i am speaking about .
