Great question. New Orleans should have been a utopia considering that they have democrats for mayor, congressmen and governor, in fact there probably aren't any republican anywher around but somehow when things go bad who gets the balme but republicans.
It took a rebuplican, rudy guliani, to clean up NYC from crime and then after 9/11 maybe they need a regime change in New Orleans.

New Orleans has had the distinction as the murder capitol of America for YEARS, no big surprise its still holding on to its title.
Maybe they can send in troops and start a massive disruptive process with out any goals or direction like the republicans did OR we can work as a NATION instead of turning yet another tragedy into party politics.

kind of agree with pulling out of new Orleans, why dig a hole, build a city in it,and then want tax money to rebuild every time that it feels up,that would be the government waste that I'm so mad about taking money that we give them and spending on things that really doesn't make since even to them if they would just be honest with themselves

"Cut and Run," as a piece of prime rhetoric goes, is the last refuge for someone whose party has spent the last seven years totally blowing it. Instead of blaming the Democrats (who just took control of Congress a few days ago) for what's wrong with the country, why not look for the real cause and propose a solution?
Yeah, I didn't think so.

are you kidding me? thats their town! the panacea for the ills of poverty. its been a deomcrat town for decades, man, they are large and in charge down in new orleans! give it up, nevah!
ya, we all saw what a wonderful thing the democrats did for new orleans, courtesy of katrina.
some misunderstood when i said "courtesy of katrina" for blaming the democrats for the hurricane. it is not what i meant. i blame no one for the weather. what i meant was that after katrina, democrat rule was uncovered and showed that their answers to the people to take care of them did not work out for them. the panacea, or cure for ills of poverty, for instance, did and does not exist. people need to take care of themselves, not depend on the government to get them away from a hurricane. hell, they didnt even do that and that is what their emergency plan called for. sorry for any confusion.

It would be different if there were OIL in LA. Then you would see Bush personally lead the charge down there to get it cleaned up...
Wait, there is a lot of oil in LA and off the Cost?
Hmmm... I need to contact my liberal commissar on how to proceed next...
