Women can get pregnant when not on their period too, honey! Having sex when she is not on her period, unprotected is like shooting fish in a barrel..no matter how bad the aim, your are eventually going to hit something.

The only way you will ever know for sure is a DNA test.
Not all women ovulate by the 14 day rule. If she has a cycle that is more than 28 days or if she is irregular, then she could ovulate later than the 21-24. So yes it is possible that she could have ovulated during the time you had unprotected sex. And unfortunately plan B doesn't always work.
If you are still not convinced that the child could be yours I would opt for a DNA test after birth for peace of mind.

"LMP" is Last Menstrual Period, right? So yeah, she ovulated around the 21st of October, but she could've gotten pregnant clear up until and DURING the next period. If her periods are the regular 28 days, she should've had the next period on the 4th of November. There is a very real posibility that it's yours. Do you trust her? How long have you known her? Does she strike as self-centered or self-serving?
Or, she could've found out she was pregnant, then got you to have sex with her a bunch of times so she could claim it was yours. How long have you been together? Was the first week of November the first time EVER you guys had sex?
On the chance it's yours, stick around until he/she is born, then get DNA tests. If during that time you decide you really love this girl and want her by your side for the rest of your life, as you raise the baby, he/she will be yours, no matter what the biology says. You have a long time before that, so just go with the flow and don't cause emotional trauma in a situation already very emotional.

From your note you would need to clarify if your g/f's lmp was on the 10th july or on the 7th. october. From the dates that you give if it was october you calculate by adding 8 days on to the date of her lmp and then go forward 9 months to get the due date. Depending on the dates that she ovulated on it could well be your baby..... A blood test when the baby is born should clarify this for you...other than that you would have to have a DNA test done.
Why do you not trust your girlfriend? The two of you need to sit down and talk and resolve your issues patiently and coherently. It is a shock for you no doubt but what's done is done...look forward and enjoy the future and to the joys of fatherhood!

well usually a woman is most fertile 2 weeks before her period so it would be who eva is closet to that but it also depens if she has normal 28 day cycles. I doubt she would have gone and slept with someone without you knowing. Does it really matter my friend had a baby to her ex in oct and he didn't want to have anything to do with it and her new bf was there althrough out her pregnant and is a wonderful dad and just coz its not blood it doens't really matter he's the one thats been there. But i mean u can have a test done when the baby is born she's due in what the end of july right?

Have you cofronted her with the dates? IF you did NOT have sex BEFORE 11-1....I would question paternity. The best thing you can do is support her & get a paternity test ASAP. Then there will be no more questions. In the meantime, have her get some assistence from the state (Medicaid, WIC... etc). If you can live with it & want to live with it, just take the responsibility. But with a DNA, you can be totally sure. She will want to get to the doctor IMMEDIATELY to have things evaluated-especially if she ACTUALLY took plan B. There may some serious consequences for this child if she did.

The conception date is only an indication of when she was most likely to be fertile. However, it could happen that some egg gets released out of the ovulation days (that's why that 'fertile days' method is not 100% safe).
Anyway, if you don't feel confident, take a paternity test to be sure, but probably if it shows the baby IS yours, you will feel a little guilty for not trusting her, and she could be upset for the same reason.
Good luck!

I'm curious as to why people think that we on yahoo would know if you are the father or not. We do not know. We were not there. Wait until she has the baby and do DNA. If you have questions about if you are the father or not then you should find out if you find out before you get stuck raising and paying for someone else's kid. Not cool.

My LMP was in March, and I conceived in like April....Just wait until the baby is born and have a paternity test done...that's about all you can do.

These calculators just give an estimate. It really depends on what her usual cycle is. What due date did her Dr. give her will make a difference and so will the ultra sound. Go to the Dr. with her he will give you all the answers you are looking for.
