I know better than to doubt any possibility, because I know that there are many, many things that are kept from the average person, and no matter how far fetched some theories might sound to some people, it is not wise to assume that we can ever possibly know everything, and to be convinced that anything is untrue, can be detrimental to your health. It is just stupid and arrogant to assume that you know it all!!!

I do not know about the UFO part, but I'm sure the goverment is keeping loads of information from the public.... Some of their motives might be the whole "panic" thing, and the rest might be for keeping power....
Communication tactics have been evolving though... Years ago it took the president 14,000 deaths from HIV to announce a state of emergency... Today, we have a state of emergency due to one person dieing from lettuce poisoning...

Collapse of Communism? Uh... how about the collapse in Nicaragua?? These people have their heads so far up themselves they need glass bellybuttons to see to walk...
UFO's ?? The government will and has used any form of crises creation to further it's ends... like purposely declaring the Roswell incident an "alien spaceship" to cover up the crash of a top secret spy balloon with state of the art nuclear detection equipment on board. The use of "intergalactic alien visitors" is still serving their purposes to cover up normally occurring sensitive issues and incidents.
