there were several different designers... which album are you talking about?

Mostly Storm Thurgeson (sp?) of Hipgnosis.

Nick Mason did Relics, which has a huge, weird looking machine of some sort on it. A little reminiscent of Yellow Submarine to me.

Roger Waters did the cover of The Wall, but Gerald Scarfe drew the cartoons in it (the scorpion wife, the puppet humpback of a teacher, etc.)

I can't really think of too many other artists.

While we're talking about it... did you know that the Division Bell heads are really huge head statues, not just artwork? Neat, eh?

Storm Thorgeson directed most of the art work and the photographer was Anthony May. Most of the pictures ie beds in a row and boy in a cage screaming was shot on Saunton Sands Beach in North Devon as was much of the war scene in the Wall. There has been numerous other photographers that worked on Floyds stuff but without doubt Anthony was a real gentleman.
