Perhaps a silver or white gown with the glitter stuff on the top of the front. Also a cut out on the bottom with a burgundy or red lining. Just so a small amout of the red shows. And long gloves to match the red or burgundy. I wore something similar to my winter formal my senior year.

I think some shade of red would be striking, perhaps burgundy. Not only is red a "now" color, but it also will reflect the recent holiday season.
Unless you are a redhead, burgundy will look great either on a blonde or brunette.

depending on your coloring, whether you're good with jewel tones or pastels, a nice powder blue or a ruby red would be great. A delicate pink or a white would also be nice. I would avoid any colors associated with spring like spring green or yellow.
hold some color swatches up to your face and see which one makes you look the best.

It depends on your coloring. According to the magazines, it seems reds/maroons are the big color right now. You need to hold various color swatches up next to your face to determine what's best for you.

i'd go with a powder blue color dress thats long and silky. not to showy but pretty enough to have most of the eyes on u!!

I really think red is in this season. Plus there are soo many accessories you can use with red-- for example use black earrings, necklace, and shoes and it should look really nice.
Plus, red will bring out your hues and tones.
