NO
Science has recently established the prime reason for Red or Blue political activity. Is a result of the protein content of your mothers diet, during week 16 of ones fetal development.
This is carried over to other physical attributes. Besides the pancreatic enzymes like testosterone, the fingers also develop in week 16. The difference in length ratio of the ring finger and index finger compared to the maximum length of the middle finger is a indicator of what party you lean towards.
The shorted your index finger is compared to your ring finger the more likely it is that you will be a Red.
The closer the 3 finger relationship is to all being the same length. The more likely you will be a Blue.
Obviously there is a wide variation and it is not as static as Robot Wars. but look at your hand and compare the finger length. Then as a experiment look at the hands of people you know are liberals. This is astonishingly simple and accurate.
Bottom line it has nothing to do with your brain or intellect. It is linked to development. As societies develop women eat better and babies are born more right leaning. This progresses to a point of social reform, then readjusts. Redistribution of wealth (like French revolution) And the cycle starts over.
Go big Red Go

Most of the time this is true. As people get older they tend to get more Conservative (not always though). When I was younger I thought I had a right to do anything I wanted and I thought our government should just stay out of the doings of other countries and allow them to do anything they want. As a more mature and realistic person I now see that if everyone is allowed to do as they please some people will try to hurt, take over, or otherwise infringe on the rights of people that they feel superior to. I still prefer it when we can keep government out of the affairs of everyone but in some cases they must step in to maintain the safety and well being of the majority.

It is in my family!!
Although the democrats of today are not the democrats of yesterday. In saying that, we weren't liberal, but there came a point and time in my parents life that they saw what the democratic party did for them after busting their butts working every day. NOTHING! Just taxed the crap out of a HARD working middle (low middle) class family. So, the theory for them taxing just the rich is a bunch of garbage.
So now as a conservative and a comfortable life, they want to tax me more. We didn't get where we are because of the democrats that's for sure.

Yes, it is true.
When you are young and naive, you think all of mankind should be able to love each other and live in harmony with nature, everybody with two cars in the garage and a house and free healthcare and a world where people do not want to kill us all but are just misunderstood.
Then you grow up and get smarter and wake up from your dream reality. Or you start taking drugs and join moveon.org.

There's a difference between the word liberal and the party called liberal. Just as there is a difference between the words democrat (as in the party) and democratic (as a way to live) and democracy (as how a government itself governs). So nobody grows up in the liberal party. When they begin to vote they choose a party. I suggest you do a lot of reading in your civics class and on the net.

Winston Churchill said that, and it actually goes something like this:
"If you are under 30 and not a liberal, you lack vision. If you are over 30 and not a conservative, you lack intelligence."

My experience was exactly the opposite. Grew up a bigoted conservative from the South, got an education, saw the world, changed my mind.

Age is of no relevance.
The more EDUCATION you obtain, the more liberal you become. You're less blinded by hypocrisies and brainwashing from your parents and surroundings as most conservatives are.
