It depends. Weather in Florida this time of year can still be pretty chilly.. up until the end of February. To be sure, 1 week before you leave, check www.weather.com and see what the temps are in the Orlando area. If you'll be staying at a Disney World Resort, keep in mind that the pools are kept at a wonderful temp of 82 degrees year long.

Burrrrrrrrrrr!! It was 39 degrees this morning when I went to work... yet it was 90 degrees two days ago. Weather is really unpredictable... but once the temps drop, so does the water.

Many resorts will heat their pools (call ahead and ask!), the natural springs in Florida are all between 72 & 74 degrees all year long, so you could swim there (not me... I like my water about 88 degrees).

The Atlantic Ocean is now in the 60's and will remain until summer, regardless of the air temperature (the Gulf Stream, ya know.)

Now, even though it started out pretty cold this morning, I SAT out by my pool about 3pm, and it was very nice. Don't forget to put on your sunscreen!

Well, it depends on where you are coming from. I live here in Florida and it is NOT warm enough to swim. But there are lots of indoor pools and it is warm enough to lay out by the pool (except today, it is kind of cool). Traditionally, the end of January is the coldest time in Florida, but based on the crazy weather we are having, who knows.

It's probably going to be too cold to swim this time of year. But it is going to warm up for a little while. If your dead set on swimming you would make a reservation with discovery cove. They give you a wetsuit and you could swim with the dolphins. They also have sharks and other things you could swim near. Its a little pricey though.

Hell no it was 45 degrees when I left the house to come to work. . . . but even if it was 90 degrees you still won't find anyone in Orlando swimming because the water will still be very cold.

Yes for kids, no for adults. Most pools are heated.
