Hi - VIntage clothing is generally 20 years old or more. Vintage clothing is extremely popluar and most designers prettyu much COPY vintage clothing.Shops like anthropologie, urban outfitters and designers likebetsey johnson prada , marc jacobs all actually buy vintage pieces in order to copy design details and to gain inspiration.
I am a vintage clothing dealer and I love 40's 50's clothing - the pices on nice clothing form those era's keeps going up- it is not thrift store garbage or old junk. Vintage clothing is beautiful , valuable, and of superior quality to todays - throw- away clothing.
If you are curious be sure and visit your local vintage clothing store- you'll be amazed at all the cute stuff that can be worn incorporated into a modern wardrobe! Have fun!

Vintage normaly means that the item...whether it is an article of clothing or an object is not old enough to be called an antique, however is old enough not to be considered current. Therefore, Vintage implies that something is at least 20-30 years old, if not older. Mainly the term is used in pertaining to clothing and vintage clothing is very popular now.
Hope this helps !
