Eeeh..Did you drink a lot the night before? Booze leaches out of the pores and leaves a sent in the room..as well as garlic...cigarette smoke...several other things. Maybe take an inventory of what you consumed the night before the following morning and slowly eliminate things on the list.

during the night you sweat more than in the day. the room fills with the odour because of no ventillation. some times you fart a lot aswell

it sounds like the room is just closed in and needs to be aired out good! Any place will start smelling musty if it's not exposed to air now and then. Also, you may want to get one of those "plug-in" air fresheners for the bedroom (or any other room for that matter) and see if that helps!

that my dear would be a case of the B.O, most people sweat at night and do not realize it, you lay in one spot for so long and it causes that odor , also you do this in the bed ( sweat and cool off, sweat then cool off and i wouldn't be surprised to say that maybe it worsens when you go to bed with out taking a bath then other nights when you do take them at night.. some people take baths in the morning some at night.. i am sure the ones who don't at night have it worse.... you also may be getting a cold and your body is fighting it at night which makes it worst on some days than others, that is the only thing i could think of...

No idea!
But for scientific odour research, try smelling your knee! (Does your knee smell like your ellbow? You get a buck if you manage ;-)

ummm sounds like you maybe need to wash more regularly, cause ive never smelt anything like that before.
Try a bubble bath before bed and see if the smell happens again.
If that fails you might have a dead animal, or furry cup lurking ssomewhere under the bed.....

I know what you're talking about, but I don't know what it is. It does seem to worse in a smaller room, or on nights when there are too many blankets.
I've also noticed it on long airplane or bus trips.
