I have had Verizon for 3 years now and I love it. I have not had any problems with service. And my bills have always been straight forward. No hidden fees or any thing like that. And they have a lot of cool features such as V-cast where you can watch music videos, tv shows and movie clips. Also it has a lot of ring tone options and the ring back tones which I love. And they have good deals on upgrading your phone, so if a new model comes out you want you don't have to spend a that much for it.
I have been in the store once, when I first bought my phone and signed up. If I need to know some thing they have a very good website and customer support staff. So I don't know much about the store service. I have The V phone by LG and I love it!! Hope this helps and if you do make the switch hope Verizon works out for you.

I've had Verizon for about 4 years now. I live in the Southeast. The signal is always strong wherever I go, and I never have had a dropped call. I've traveled to the West Coast (California and Oregon) and had no problems with call quality there either. My ex-boyfriend and coworker both used to have Sprint, and they always had dropped calls. I chose Verizon from the ratings in Consumer Reports. Verizon received top ratings across the board for all areas of the country.

I think Cingular was rated number two because they had more issues with dropped calls and call quality. I think Cingular is more variable depending on where you live. Check the CR ratings to be sure. There was a woman I worked with who switched to Cingular a couple of years ago -- I think she was mixed on them.

The only thing I would say negative is that if you are going oversees and plan to use your phone, Verizon is probably not the best choice because they use CDMA instead of GSA, which is supported in the rest of the world. Not an issue for me, and CDMA is the most popular in the US.

Verizon's been excellent with coverage as I travel around the country, and, one of the few services that gives me coverage at my house (I live in a hole).

But yeah- I'd second that comment about their stores always being crowded and annoying.

I might have to switch to Cingular to get the new Apple iPhone this summer tho'. :)

I've had Verizon for about 10 years and have had really zero issues that I hear everyone complaining about with other providers. Never a billing issue, great customer service, the stores are a little annoying as they are understaffed everytime I've gone in. My only complaint is that I have weak signal at my house, but that is just the layout for the cell towers and the hills in the area.

I recommend their service.

You will be very happy w/making the switch. There are very few places that you can't get coverage w/Verizon and you won't have dropped calls. They have great service plans and up-to date phones. Hope this helps
