What about Mary J Blige? Ashanti ain't too big anymore but she did have some hits out, along with Ciara, Destineys Child, Monica, Rhianna, and Mariah Carey. They all had a few songs out, and Ciara is still going. She may not have the best voice, but she does have plenty of good songs.

Probably. Well, she is the only top selling R&B singer out there. She has created a name for herself, outside of Destiny's Child. And she has also become one of the most popular artist in the media. With publicity, movies, commercials, and music, I think that Beyonce has influenced many young girls.
Not necessarily myself...but many others...............

um hell no.. what did she do to be the most influential r&b singer.. dress slutty and gyrate in all her videos is that what we really want influencing our young daughters today? Alicia Keys is a better influence and has a better chance of being the most influential singer than beyonce.. hell rupaul has a better chance

The most influential isn't necessarily the artist who has sold the most records, or the one you like the best, it's who has influenced/inspired other artists the most.

No I would consider her an attention grabbing philistine, ****** celebrity with marginal talent set upon this earth to lower the standards and make people think that big thighs and high heels are cool.
Sorry this is just my opinion - if you like her, fair enough. I can't stand her!
