I get the feeling YOU don't grasp the concept of the War on Terror.
It's gonna take a long time, and the price is gonna be high, and it's worthwhile. Bush has said all of this.
Draft? Owing something to your country? That works for me.

I don't think as many who should understand do get it , I'm sure you obviously do and I feel I do also . I think they should stop using this ambiguous term and call it a war on terrorists and not a war on terror . We can and are putting a face on terrorists , the mere term terror just isn't descriptive enough and I feel the word terrorist which we are trying to eliminate makes it more clear to some who are not getting it . A draft may at some point be needed so as not to allow our military to become so over taxed in one area of the world that we become defenseless in another . We should choose very carefully our battles according to the threat levels posed by the " terrorists ".

The "GWOT"?
LMAO
Listen... declaring war on an abstract notion like "terror" is all well and good for the morale of bloodthirsty people who need words to make them feel proactive, but the reality of the situation is that you cannot - and I emphasize, CANNOT - eliminate the cause of terrorism, because the cause of terrorism is pure, unadulterated hatred.
So declaring war on terror is absolutely the most f**king ridiculous thing Bush has done in his life.
Seriously. In his LIFE.
And he's done some pretty ridiculous things.

Don't make me laugh !! Global war on terror my back-side !
The world is LESS secure now that it was before Bush and Blair ran off looking for Weapons Of Mass Destruction that did NOT exist...FACT !
The human rights travesty and disaster in Guantanamo Bay is shocking. If that was Iran doing that to American or British troops how would you feel ?
1000 people are murdered every month in Iraq . That is ONE THOUSAND human beings. Is Iraq better off ?
Ordinary law-abiding Muslims are being turned into fundamentalists every day exactly because of the so-called "War on Terror". Is that winning ? My *ss it is.
Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11. NOTHING. The American CIA even stated this not long after 9/11. Bin-Laden hated Saddam as much as he hates you and me.
Wake up and smell the coffee before we all get blown up.

Global terrorism can only be defeated through strategic police work, intelligence and a cooperative effort by all civil nations to pool their resources. Bullets simply do not work. When will you war mongers get this?
JASONSLUCK: Excuse me, but where did I say we should negotiate with them or search for diplomatic solutions?

HEMINGWAY- radical islam cannot be negotiated with. you think people that treat human life the way they do can be reasoned with? radicals believe you do one of 3 things when you come in contact with an "infadel". 1) convert them. 2)rule them and tax them. 3) you kill them. and they sure as hell don't follow those in order. wake up!
TEACHER- it's people like you that make me sick. you think the treatment of islamic prisoners is horrible? lol, i would love to see what happened if you tried telling that to the families of those prisoners be-headed. and your information on the reasons behind our invasion is misguiding. EVERY country that has credible intelligence agencies thought Iraq had WMD's. If you count nerve gas as a WMD (which i do), then saddam did have WMD's. but, we also invaded b/c he broke several treaty stipulations not to mention he was harboring and supplying terrorist cells as well as murdering thousands and thousands of people. You people need to wake up and get with the program before it's too late. It's people like you two that is making this harder than it is already.

And what is the "Global War On Terror"?
Fighting terror is a policing/intelligence gathering operation. With interdiction as a goal. Not a war with troops. Troops don't stop terror cells. As you can see, the troops aren't doing so well in Iraq. They can't kick down every door or shoot every angry radical
in the world.
Can you grasp that?

As long as we're having a "war on terror," why not declare "war on rudeness" as well? Or how about this one: a "war on smirkiness?" Or maybe we can be honest and admit that this is a war on *some* terror?

THANK YOU!! At least SOMEONE has their head on straight!!
Terror is a very real issue and nobody really has any magic wands to say **poof** all better now. In the real world, as it has always been, we have to fight to keep ourselves safe.
