I am building a small windmill to airate my koi pond..I have a hub, but don't know how to make 5 blades

The cheapest way to do it is to buy a cheap ceiling fan. I think that some stores even sell the blades and the brackets separately however buying the entire fan might be cheaper. Be sure to use the brackets for the blades so that they will tilt at the right angle.

you didn't mention the size of the blade you wanted to make. If they are small (under ten inches long) they could be cut from a peace of vinyl siding one peace could be bought at most building supply stores or found around most building sights. between ten inches and about two feet they could be cut from a peace of 1/4 inch OSB (oriented strand board) If painted it will stand up to weather well.
