I supposed you could "ask" a question on answers...do you like this writing and we can all let you know what we think...be brave!

There are loads of yahoo groups for writers and others around the web. Here's the thing: no one wants to read your work and get nothing back. What's done is you join a critique group. In so doing, you can have your work critiqued and you'll have to put out effort critiquing other members' works in progress.
Here's a really great resource (I'm a lurker only): http://www.fmwriters.com/community/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=17
It's called "Forward Motion" for writers. They are serious about writing. If it's a little too big or intimidating, try a yahoo group. I'm on one that was started for participants in NaNoWriMO: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NanoWriters/
They do not do critiquing there but you'll find lots of links to places those members use. Also, if you blog, consider putting up some of your work and tagging it to attract people who'll give critiques. Good luck!

If you are looking for a larger community of users, I would suggest deviantart.com. Penumbras.info (which I own and designed) is a smaller site with fewer members. I'm always looking for new members on penumbras who are willing to submit and critique others' works.
Most of us on the site have attended college for creative writing and can offer guidance and perspective on a number of different writing forms. I would, however, append that we are an open forum designed specifically to avoid censoring in writing and in critique. I do occasionally find the need to remove comments and posts, but only if they are flagrant abuses toward the author, or if I receive a number of complaints from the other posters on the site.
We'd love to have you aboard.

If it's fan fiction, you can post it on fanfiction.net. If it's your origional work, post it on fictionpress.net. You'll need to create a free account first, but afterwards, you can post to your heart's content. Other users and readers on the site will leave reviews, which will contain the critiques you crave.

Yeah, I hate those comments! i in my opinion love listening to that somebody available likes my tale, notwithstanding it does not help me artwork on my themes in any respect... and wow, harriet. that's no longer criticizing, that's purely being rude. The question replaced into: "have you ever gotten a remark that replaced into too spectacular?" no longer, "How rude have you ever been some individual's tale till now?"

www.digitalpulp.org essentially takes all fiction as is, and at no cost to the writer. The copyright remains with the author. Readers can give reviews and make comments.
