If you were traveling at the speed of sound and farted, would your traveling companions hear it first or smell it first?

To answer your question, i think the sheer wind factor of that type of travel would disbar any odorous eminations.

They would neither hear nor smell it.
The wind would blow the smell away before it reaches an nose and it would be soooo loud that a little fart would be below hearing level! (Unless you have eaten a hell of a chilli)
If you all travel in a closed compartment (airplane, rocket car, ...) then it would be as usual. Hear first, then smell!

Not quite sure....i guess your fart would be traveling at the speed of sound plus the speed of the fart so they would hear it before they smelt it unless it was a silent but deadly one in wich case they would definatley smell it and then kick your @ss!

hear it and smell it of course, you would have to travel faster than the speed of sound for them not to hear it till you are gone and the smell with you.

Very good question, they would actually see it first. At the speed of sound you enter a different state of being where the senses are all swopped around. After seeing it you would then feel it, very unpleasant.

Well, I would say hear it first.....because if we were traveling at the speed of sound, I would be sitting on someone's shoulders out of fear and......the air biscuit would first reach their ears and then their snauzola!
