ok there is this on-going question, wii or ps3? i have a wii and i found it great but i would like to know what you lot think

PS3 has more "adult oriented" games... better graphics
but it also has gameplay that isnt nearly as fun and costs way too much.
for fun (and I think that is what consoles should be for), the wii wins out for me.
The PS3 is a hell of a good looking system though. I just rather play, not watch though.
Nintendo does what they do best, when you can no longer compete in the game... change the game itself and make it better! Kudos for nintendo for being creative and innovative.

I was not going to answer this because so many people already have but I just saw someone post this "no i dont like wii its not original"...Words can not describe how I felt when I read that. How can something like the Wii not be original that is all the Wii is. Playstation copies the Xbox and Xbox copies things off the playstation that is how those two companys work to stay number one. And without the Wii going to their level of taking others ideas they came up with one that worked. So the Wii is the best console out to date.

I don't think it's fair to compare the wii and ps3.. it all depends on your taste. I have both and see how both are good in their own ways. The wii incorporates great gameplay and appeals to people of all ages. But the graphics is sub-par. And for anyone who cares greatly about graphics and has a HDTV, the wii games just don't look very good on their TVs. As for PS3, it's got the ability to play blu-ray discs and their graphics are wonderful. Some people care more about graphics than gameplay and for those people, obviously the PS3 is more their thing. So really, it depends on what a person wants out of their game system and Some like the wii and some like the ps3.

it all depends. if your have high class HD tvs then definitely PS3. But the games out for PS3 aren't very good for now. But it will get better through out this year with games such as assassins creed. But if you have regular tvs with kids under the age of 12 you should probably get a wii.

I think the wii will be better, but i love games with loads of fun bright colours, like mario etc. Also the remote is really cool, loads more fun than a boring playstation controller!!

yes definitely. i am so impressed with the wii. i don't think they even compare. i like the way because it brings you into the game. you are a lot more active and you don't have to just sit in the chair to play it.

Both are great consoles. Now depends on your gaming style, preferences, etc. Although I would buy PS3 first. But that's my option.

considering the games that are availiable the WII is better also i dont much like playstation

You're comparing apples to oranges. There may be some aspects comparable but, as a whole, they are very dissimilar. Obviously, as with any system, each has their pros and cons so you must determine which is better suited for your desires.

no i dont like wii its not original , and besides ps2 has ben around for ever so y have something new?? ps3 isnt anydifferent and i like it.
