i was put on the pill for a year to regulate my period. it did help with getting pregnant when i came off it. you need to get your cycle regulated and then try to get pregnant. as far as weight. cut out ugary snacks and foods cut out all snacking except unsalted nuts and seeds and fresh fruit and cut out soda and all caffiene it will be hard as those are addictive substances but can be done. i cut those out and lost 3lbs instantly. caffiene makes you retain water.once it was out of my system i peed off the excess water the my body was holding

I've heard/read a lot that being near your target weight can do wonders for fertility. Losing weight is difficult-- Set a goal for yourself. Start out by losing 5-10 lbs. OR, start by cutting out all the unhealthy foods--potato chips, fast foods, pop. Or, start by going on a walk 3 days a week...or exercising for 3 days a week. Also, do exercises that you like to do-- you'll be more likely to exercise!

I wouldn't risk going back on the pill. I know a lot of people who have problems getting pregnant now because (they think) they were on the pill for too long. Additionally, it can take some women up to 3 months to even get their period again--after getting off the pill.

I would take your DR's advice and try losing weight-- If it helps you look and feel great...and get a baby...it'd be well worth it! Just be excited about it and keep the goal in mind.

I know that being overweight is tough, and trying to lose weight is even harder. But, I have to say it works. My best friend tried for years to get pregnant, and couldn't. We both lost some weight, started exercising and it happened. She got pregnant right away. I got pregnant but miscarried 4 months later. So if you take care of yourself, eat healthy, exercise and take your vitamins you'll be fine. I wouldn't try the bc pill just yet. A major way to help your diet is to stay away from refined sugar. No soda, no white bread, and no white pasta. Eat only whole grain breads and pasta, it helps. If you drink more water as well. Will help flush your system of toxins and make you feel better.

Best of luck!

My friend was trying to get pregnant for years and shes overweight. She went on a diet, started eating healthier, lost only 15 pounds and conceived. So i think it helps to just change your diet. dont go starving yourself, just eat healthier and take your folic acid. The pill thing....I was told by my Dr that you're most fertile when you come off the pill but i was on it for years and we still havent conceived after 4 months. The best of luck to you!

I Won't suggest a pill to loose weight as it is generally harmful and can be more harmful for the baby...
