So,I have a lovely gamer for a husband. A true electronic nut...
the only problem being,I'm on a severe budget. and I have no idea what to get him (for once)
We don't buy dvds or cds,he already has a ps2,xbox,gamecube,psp and a ds.
However,he hasn't had a gameboy color in ages. They're somewhat cheap. He also doesn't have an NES-and I know he'd enjoy that as well. His SNES broke, too. ...but I'm almost tempted to -not- want to get him something that obvious.
He gets thrown off to somewhere in the mideast in May and this will be our only Valentine's day together since we got married in 2005,until 2009. I'd really like it to be something wonderful... but I'm rather out of ideas.
If anyone else has any other input (relating to gifts or not) I'd completely appreciate it. =)

Dont tell him, but get a hotel room with a whirlpool. Already have decorated with rose petals, candles, soft music and champagne. Tell him you're taking him out to eat. When you leave the restaurant (or drive-thru), suggest getting a room for the night, and coincidentally insist on checking the hotel for the prices. The hotel staff will help I'm sure, and you can pretend to "check-in", or you can ask to see what a whirlpool room looks like, and when he enters the room, he'll be surprised that it was pre-arranged.

That's a day full of expectation. You've already began to think about it unbearably although it is more than a month last. For us, there is one thing my husband and I must do is to fly a kite. Because of the kite, we knew each other, so we wanna remind the romantic moment every year. And then we'll give the gifts to each other. I really expect for the gift he gives to me every time. We don't know what the gift is at all before receiving it. So that will be a big surprise for both of us. That means we must buy the gift very secretly since now. We must search for any possible special things, that's so interesting. You will find there gonna be a whole month you only think about the gift to your husband, you wanna try your best to make him happy. After you buy something, you packing it and then hide it, look forward to the coming of the day.
I want to buy him a set of sake set this time. That is covered by the very thin bamboo stripes. It is really special, he must be very excited.

Why not get some pictures of you taken? This way is truly personal and he will only think of you when he is looking at them. Skip the elecronic stuff, he's too old for that anyhow. Make this Valentines Day all about your relationsip. You can pictures done relatively cheap at studios or have a friend take some with a digital camera and have them blown up. Make him a nice candle light dinner. Good luck

Why don't you give him you........Why not do the dinner and the candles and the bubble bath together and take lot's of pics and make him a scrapbook that he could take why not just give him the time with you that you two have together to remind him of who is pushing for him at home. It sounds like he has enough crap and that he needs more time with you. If this was my first and last valentines day for a while, I sure wouldn't be spending money on games I would be buying new sheets and a new nighty and some silky boxers and we would have one night in he would never forget!

I had the same problem this Christmas. My boyfriend left this week for 6 months to go to the persian gulf (navy). So, I wanted to get him something that I know that he would really want, and that he could use to help pass the time. I got him an xbox360 and a couple of games to go with it.
Even though it was a rather obvious present, he absolutely loved it. Also, if you give him something he can use over seas, not only will it pass the time for him, but it will also remind him of you.

maybe u should consider buying a ps3 thats my husband and sweetie he also a electronic head. The bad thing is that these game systems are very expensive. So maybe u should aim for something like a nice time out or maybe a nice ring or watch.

Just in general, www.thinkgeek.com is a good place to find gifts for techies (I've gotten my husband stuff there before and he loved it).
