Has access to such a wide variety of sex acts changed the way sex/lust/love is viewed today versus 15-20 years ago?

Definately. The adult industry's permience into society has caused a variety of problems. Studies have linked habitual users of adult materials to having an increased likelyhood of committing violent crimes. People can frequently become addicted to adult material, thereby ignoring other more important aspects of their lives (job, family, spouse). Habitual viewers of adult materials frequently have unrealistic expectaions of sex based on what they have viewed in those films.

i don't believe the industry itself is as responsible for that as the changing of attitudes of people in general..sex/lust/love has become too trivalized like a new pair of shoes

Not so much with me, I try to avoid anything showing sex acts in the media.......but for other people; oh, yes, it's affected them.
