Lots of people do, unfortunately. If it had been anyone but a Kennedy, they'd probably still be in prison.

"I'd rather hunt with Dick Cheney than ride with Ted Kennedy." - bumper sticker

"Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun." - bumper sticker

Earlybird - A mistake?? Yeah, the accident WAS a mistake - but to leave that girl behind to drown? You have more faith than I do - I honestly believe it was a cruel, deliberate act of murder.

Women think more emotionally than men do. This can be a good thing or a bad one. What I observe often is that many women don't know how to channel their emotions into something productive. They let the emotions take control. Sometimes that's necessary, I think, to get a point across. I think you're right, most great people in history in general have been men because women were always seen as having their role in the home and not much more. Hence the upheaval in the 60's when lots of women realized they wanted more and started going to college after having been housewives for years. Women and men both have great capacity for intellect, they just have different ways of thinking. Lots of women just don't know how to keep their emotions in check...

First, she drowned, not suffocated.

Second, please act like a real conservative and grow up. This stupid Sean Hannity-esque argument is not reasoned or mature.

People make mistakes, now can we please move on already???

EDIT to arcticchick: Well, it wasn't "murder". And that's not the intent of my post. I am saying that this stupid argument (that because she died, everything he says or does is wrong) is not logical. It is the same illogical hatred that some people have towards the Kennedys that others have toward the Bushes. Raise the level of debate above this. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day!

That's just it, this is America, you can express your opinions.....I am not in the persons state that your referring to, so I do not Vote for him although a lot of what has been recently said does make sense, speaking of how bush sounds just like past presidents, and the Vietnam war escalations

Are you talking about Senator Kennedy?

Wow Rol you had to go back almost 40 years to find something about Kennedy to rant about? LMAO you must be a truly sad and pathetic little person. Kennedy was responsible for the death of one person in 70 years of life. How long will Bin Laden Bush, Our Commander in Thief have to live to pay off the THOUSANDS of people he's responsible for murdering in an illegal war?

If I am not mistaken Kennedy was driving drunk and that is what caused the accident in the first place. He is a coward and a criminal IMO. If I had a DUI accident and someone died I would be tried for, at a minimum man slaughter.

Check your facts.

Kennedy made repeated attempts to save her, but was not successful. He plead guilty to "Leaving the scene of an accident when bodily harm occurred." Teddy took fully responsibility for what happened.

EDIT: There is also NO PROOF that Teddy was drunk at the time.

funny thing about your question is, you are probably one of the few that trust Bush. Don't you. Does it not matter to you that he lied to you and the rest of us???
