I heard some time ago (my dear Mother) that if you see seagulls inland over a period of time that it can be a sign of bad weather on the way?
(I do believe in this because one year I was in Lincs and I saw some seagulls and seven hours later they had a severe blizzard-1986)
Is it true? Thank you

Actually "yes", I believe that your Mother is correct. My Mother also told me the exact same thing (as was told to her by her own Mother).

I always gage the weather by the way wildlife reacts. Seagulls will come in-land in search of food because they instinctively know that bad weather is on the approach and they won't be able to hunt for food over the water.

I feed a multitude of wildlife on my property and if it's a lazy, hazy day, the squirrels and birds are very relaxed with eating, but when nasty weather is approaching, then all the animals are scrambling for food and trying to store up.

Isn't that nice that we have loving memories of what previous generations within our families, have had to say.

Have a lovely rest of the day. Bright Blessings.
