We translate it:

(3/4)^(-4) = 1 / (3/4)^4 = 1 / (3^4 / 4^4)) = 1 / 81/256 = 256 / 81

That's it!

Good luck!

so you have (3/4) to the 4th negative power... lets say something like this: (3/4)-4.

So there's no grace having that negative exponent. To get it positive you must switch the positions of the numbers in the division like this:

(4/3)4 (4 divided by 3) to the 4th power

(you may see that the exponent is now positive due to the position switch)

Now remember the law of power of quotient:

4 to the 4th power/3 to the 4th power

4*4*4*4= 256
____

3*3*3*3= 81

So the final answer is (256/81)

Hope this helps

negative power means taking reciprocals
so
(3/4)^-4 = (4/3)^4
=256/81

(3/4)^(-4) is the same as (4/3)^4

so answer is (4*4*4*4)/(3*3*3*3) = 256/81

(3/4)^-4
=1/ (3/4)^4
=1/[(3^4)/(4^4]
=1/(81/256)
=256/81
