I especially want to refer to the former US president, Jimmy Carter's book titled "Palestine, not Aparthied". Why do people say that his book was anti semetic? I think that the man has done a lot for world peace throughout his presidency.

Its anti-semetic comparisons are only because this country has always had a "strange" and paradoxical" relationship with Israel. We continue to veto measures in the U.N. that would hold the Israeli's accountable for illegal acts of war, specifically illegal land seizures according to the UN resolution 242. We are wary of criticizing any Israeli policy and actually, we will only do so with overwhelming global condemnation; even then it is a 50/50 shot. But this is only a portion of the problem. The treatment of Palestinians as 2nd class citzens also aides in creating resentment. While a problem no less, the real causes are the continued and perpetuated resentment that is on a constant "build up" basis between Israeli and Palestinian factions. Any help for this region must be in the form of policy and/or regional acceptance of simplified agreements between Israel and the PLO organizations. The Jordanians have recognized Israel's right to exist and the majority of the region has shown their willingness agree to this statement. It is necessary that American policy towards Israel change. A war crime remains a war crime no matter what country is at stake and until American policy abides by fair moral and ethical judgements, we will not be able to help the region.

That's crap. The palestinian's keep attacking even after Israel gives them everything that they ask for. There is no pleasing a palestinian. Israel does not run an offensive military operation against the palestinians. Only defensive in response to those idiots for shooting rockets into innocent civilians homes. The only real solution is to move all palestinians out into the middle of the Gobi desert where they cannot bother anybody. Jimmy carter is a moron and a disgrace to the name of Christian.

Apartheid doesn't really exist in Israel. Carter was making a comparison of the treatment of Palestinians in Israel to Apartheid.

A lot of my Jewish friends agree with him too!

there are various 1000's of Arabs, Christian and Muslim, that stay non violent and respectable lives in Israel. simply by proportional representation gadget, they have individuals in parliament, government and the official forms. this is not opinion, this is an argument of checklist. in simple terms somebody blinded with the aid of prejudice and hatred would desire to describe this as apartheid. the only ethnic cleansing that has taken place interior the region is the removal of the Jewish community from Gaza
