How many of each size of diapers should I buy for the first couple of months. This is my 4th pregnancy and I can;t for the life of me remember how many of each I bought the last times. So far we have a couple of packs of number 1's. Should I get more of those, or switch on up to number 2's?

Just take the money you was going to buy the diapers with and put it up in an envelope for safe keeping and buy the sizes as you need them. Then you won't have so many of one size because you don't know how fast your baby will grow. All children are different.

Wait to see how big the baby is. My friend never used a size 1 diaper! The baby was wearing size 2 from the beginning, in couple weeks switching to size 3. I used newborn sized diapers until the baby was almost 1 month old. Although diapers is not something to be worried about - they are always available everywhere.
By the way, there's a great website - 1800diapers, I buy diaper only there - they accept manufacturer's coupons, too; their prices are really good, and they work fast (shipping is free for orders of $45 and more).
I still have couple packs of newborn size, size 1 and 2, as I wanted to stock up, so don't be in a hurry :)

My daugther was actually in the pampers newborn diapers until she was 6 weeks old. She has been in the size one diapers for 2 weeks now and has plunty of room. I got the big pack of pampers and they would last me about 2 weeks sometimes a little less. It is all going to depend on the weight of your baby. My little girl was 7.5 ounces and is now 10.11 ounces. So she gained about 4 pounds in 8 weeks...Just something to go by but every baby is different. Good luck!

Get all you want...really stock up for the size you need at the time. If baby out grows them.........Any store will gladly take them in exchange for a bigger size. Without even a receipt.

we had two packs of newborn and one pack of size ones to start with...that worked for my daugter...it depends on the size of the baby...if you have a chunker then you might need to totally skip the newborns..but if it is really tiny then you my should buy a pack of NB just in case...good luck!!
