what in the world are they?! They're on my lower face, around my chin and on my cheek bones. They're not spots and never turn into anything. Just tiny pimples. You can't see them from far away but I can feel them and I just feel so unsightly.

Any ideas?!

It's not a form of acne. It's very likely a dermatitis of sorts. That sounds scary, but all it means is that you are using a product or are coming into contact with something you are allergic or very sensitive to. The best way to eliminate this type of break out is to immediately get rid of anything new you have been using. It can also, but not usually, be caused by food. So, if you are eating more of a food than you normally have been (soy products sometimes do this) cut back or stop alltogether.
Now, if you haven't been using a new product or eating any new foods or working in a new environment and you can't figure out what it could be, start with products you are using on your face.
Sometimes a cosmetic can become contaminated with a bacteria your skin can't handle. Also, you can develop allergies to things you have used your whole life. Hormones change, sensitivities change etc. The best way to go about deciding what you are allergic to is to start eliminating your personal products one a week, until you feel you are free of your bumps. Then, start adding them back one at a time. If you break out again, you can usually blame it on that product. UNLESS it is from using a combination of products. In which case you will need to keep that in mind and decide that when the time comes.
If it isn't personal skin products or perfume etc, it can be hair products or detergents.
If you can afford it immediately replace your moisturizer and base or foundation as they could be contaminated. When you get the new ones, use a clean q-tip to extract the product from the container so you don't re-contaminate your products.
Also, go to your favorite salon/spa and ask your local esthetician if they have a facial that extracts impurities from the skin. You are looking at a European facial for sensitive skin (even if your skin isn't usually classified as sensitive...) with an enzyme peel. Most product lines carry such a product.

If all else fails, see a dermatologist, but these tricks should do it!!

Good luck!

Oh! I just thought of something else! You could be "over-feeding" your skin. Meaning that you could be using a moisturizer too heavy for your skin. Same as above, even if you have been using that moisturizer for sometime, climate changes and hormone and sensitivitiy changes can make the skin react out of character.
So, maybe a lighter moisturizer could be the trick...or skipping a night cream for a day cream. (try the other stuff above too!)

You can try proactive, I heard that stuff works really good. Look I used to get small pimples too, just like you. If you were make-up. I mean like fondation and the powder stuff all over your face quit doing that. You need to get rid of the powder stuff quit using it. Only use the fondation over your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay. Every time you cover your face with that stuff, you are not letting your face breath which is causing pimples to form. I quit doing it and I hardly ever get pimples anymore. So I hope this helps you.

My sister had the same thing...and I get it on my upper arms...I can't remember the name for it, but it's very common. You need to gently exfoliate your face daily, and use a moisturizer with salicylic acid in it. It doesn't just go away though, you have to grow out of it. Don't scratch or pick at them, you'll just make it worse...and don't worry, they aren't that noticeable to other people, I hardly noticed my sister's...by the way, she grew out of it when she was about 20, and the bumps on my arms don't seem to ever go away unfortunately!
