Kind of, I was raised by my old fashioned Southern God fearing grandmother. The type of woman who goes and gets her hair done every week type person, lol.
She couldn't listen in on my conversations because I had my own line. BUT she would read notes that people had written to me, she found out that my now husband and I were going to hotels on the weekends when she thought I was spending the night with friends. I was 16, he was 20. Needless to say, she got very angry.

She snooped through my things and find out some information she probably wouldn't have wanted to know. Sucks to be mom.

She always snooped and she always got in trouble because i knew when she did. I set traps.

Nope, my mom did not pay attention, at least not to me. She was quite preoccupied which now I can see was a bad thing, not that snooping would have been a good thing.

never i went down the street to the gas station and used the pay phone and i never brought anything home that would get me in trouble

I feel the need to add that I'm 24 now, and I still think it's wrong (to all you moms out there)

My mom snooped, listen. search. gave us spankings with objects like a frying pan cord you name it she done it and it wasn't because we were bad kids .

Uh Yeah. If I had better communication with my mom and more TRUST between us then I guess stuff like that won't happen though.

Not listen in but I think she went through my stuff when I wasn't home. I left some 'traps'.
