I've been on the Depo shot for six months. Haven't had a period since... until last week, when I got a very light period of mostly brown blood. I don't understand why my period has come back now. I'm due for a shot next week, could it be that it's wearing off some? This has never happened before. Also, this period is hanging on for dear life... for the past two or three days I've had an extremely light flow of dark brown blood that hasn't shown any signs of stopping. I've never had this happen before. Can anyone else relate or tell me what's going on? I know that the brown blood is most likely old blood, but why is it showing up now, after 6 months of non-period bliss??

I used Depo 10 years ago and would never do it again because I bleed non-stop for 6 months started out light and got dark and was the nastiest smell. When I talked to the doctor about it she said that some people have no periods but than some people bleed for very long periods of time.

i replaced into on depo for roughly 3 years and have been given off a pair of 365 days in the past and it will shrink to rubble your classes for awhile it took mine approximately 4 to 5 month formerly they have been customary and that i'd desire to start up charting my cycles so supply it a while the ordinary era is customary stable success

I'm very anti-depo for personal reasons. I got pregnant while on it and miscarried delivering my baby at 5 months. It was the worst pain in my life so please be careful. I really believe my baby died b/c of that poision.

I bled for over 30 days at first, then didn't have normal periods either. I wish you the best.

Please research Depo before taking it anymore!! It causes massive bone loss. I was on it just over two years and I stopped taking it in October '04. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis last August about 2 weeks after my 27th birthday!!

This is one of the side effects. Some women get no period at all & some never get rid of it.

Wait til ya see what it does to your complexion! I highly suggest the vaginal contaceptive film as a better alternative.
